Integrated Fire & Security System Maintenance Solutions

Fire alarms

In order to comply with Irish fire safety standards as well as protect your employees and property, it is essential to have your fire alarm system serviced on a regular basis. Our fire alarm maintenance service ensures that all detectors, panels, and sounders are regularly tested and fully operational. We provide full reports after each visit to ensure your business has the correct paperwork to comply with Irish fire regulation I.S. 3218:2024.

Intruder alarms

Intrusion detection systems keep your employees and property safe from unwelcome guests while our regular maintenance of these systems keeps them reliable and fully functional. As part of our intrusion detection maintenance, our team inspects all sensors, alarm panels, and wiring to identify and fix any faults before they start to affect the overall system performance. These types of checks ensure that your business is continually protected and maximises the life of your intrusion detection system.

CCTV systems

Regularly servicing your CCTV systems can help prevent downtime, while supporting GDPR compliance, and ensuring that your business always has a dependable surveillance system especially when you need it most. When our technicians visit a site to perform CCTV maintenance, they service all cameras, recorders, and check to ensure that all connections are fully operational. Servicing includes lens cleaning, routine testing, storage system checks, as well as recording verification to ensure that the system is maintaining reliability.

Access control

Access control systems experience a lot of wear and tear as they are used on a continuous basis to access your property and assets. Regular maintenance keeps doors, turnstiles, and electronic locks functioning smoothly. During our inspections, our engineers inspect control panels, connections, and user permissions, making sure to resolve issues before they cause any disruption. Scheduled servicing can help ensure system reliability as well as extend the lifespan of your access control system.

Barriers and gates

Automated gates and barriers are essential features that keep your property safe. Regular maintenance of these features ensures that they operate safely and efficiently. When one of our technicians performs a maintenance check, they will inspect motors, sensors, control systems, and safety devices, checking for faults and performing adjustments and repairs as needed. This type of regular servicing can help prevent breakdowns, always ensuring smooth access for vehicles to your property.

Life safety systems

Your security communication network keeps all of your systems connected which is why it is essential to maintain through a regular service schedule. During our inspections, we check alarm panels, network connection, backup links, and signal paths, making sure to address any faults promptly. Regular servicing ensures that you have uninterrupted communication between systems such as fire, security, and access control systems.

FAQs

Under Irish Standard I.S. 3218:2024, all fire detection and alarm systems must be serviced at least four times a year by a competent, certified provider like Stalwart Security & Fire. High-risk or complex sites (such as hospitals or industrial facilities) may require quarterly servicing, along with weekly user checks and monthly visual inspections.

A professional maintenance visit includes a full functional test of detectors, sounders, manual call points, batteries, communication links, and control panels. Engineers also review event logs, clean sensors, check power supplies, and verify that the system still meets design and safety standards. A written service certificate and report are issued after each visit.

Stalwart provides a 24/7 emergency call-out service, with engineers typically on-site within a few hours depending on location. Our communication units include built-in redundancy, meaning alerts are received instantly even if one connection path fails.

Maintenance must be carried out by qualified, competent, and certified professionals. For security systems (alarms, CCTV, access control, gates and barriers), providers must hold a valid Private Security Authority (PSA) licence.
